Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Agnes Blanchard Patin, 80 who passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.

The family request that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

A native and longtime resident of Breaux Bridge. Agnes was born on February 8, 1941, to the late Alberie and Octavie Dumatrait Blanchard. Agnes was a loving and hardworking mother and grandmother who loved cooking, doing for others, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Shirley Patin and husband Kenny, Tina Bordelon and husband Jude, DeWayne Patin, Mitchell Patin and wife Yvette, Dale Patin, and Octavia “Tavia” Ayo and husband Judge; her 10 grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Veron “Sukit” Blanchard and wife Dorothy; and her sisters-in-law, Annie Ruth Blanchard and Anita Blanchard, all of Breaux Bridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberie and Octavie Dumatrait Blanchard; her brother, Samuel “Sam” Blanchard, Ernest “Red” Blanchard, Alvin “White” Blanchard, Darrell “Black” Blanchard, Gerald Blanchard, and Cecile Blanchard; and her grandson Jessie Patin.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
