Bobby James Olivier, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 17, 1954, in Arnaudville. Bobby dedicated many years of his life to the petrochemical industry, working as a plant operator. His commitment and expertise made a lasting impact on the industry.

One of Bobby’s greatest joys in life was watching his grandchildren grow and he reveled in all of their accomplishments. Whether it was watching his grandsons play basketball in the driveway, working on projects or just seeing the world go by, he found solace and contentment in those peaceful moments living his best front porch life.

Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, Bobby loved his family unconditionally. He ensured that they were taken care of and provided for, always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. His children looked up to him as a role model – he instilled in them a strong work ethic that will continue to guide them throughout their lives.

Bobby had a unique sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. His dry wit and clever one-liners never failed to elicit laughter from anyone he met. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, sharing stories while tinkering away on woodworking projects or fixing cars in the garage. Bobby always encouraged their curiosity and fostered their love for learning by teaching them independence and concocting experiments for his grandchildren to do.

The legacy of Bobby James Olivier will forever be cherished by his loved ones. He leaves behind his adoring children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched with his kindness. Though deeply saddened by his passing, they find comfort in the memories they shared together.

He is survived by his daughters, Blair (Lane) Champagne and Robin (Charles) Mowrey; grandchildren, Raven Scheel (Clint), Carson Mowrey, Baylon Champagne and Laydon “2P” Champagne; and his great-grandchildren, Orren Scheel and Oliver Scheel.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 39 years, Renella L. Olivier; parents, Emile and Evelyn Hardy Olivier; brother, Rodney Olivier; and his sister, Mary Ann Olivier.
