Clyde Francis Akers Jr.

St. Martinville – A memorial service conducted by Brother Jessie Charpentier, pastor of Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church, was held on Saturday, September 5, 2020, for Clyde Francis Akers Jr., 87, who passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020.
Survivors include his sons, Clyde Akers III and his wife Anne of Parks, Steve Akers and his wife Margie of Spring, Texas, and Isaac Akers and his wife Toni of St. Martinville; daughters, Lisa Akers and Robin Akers of St. Martinville; ten grandchildren including Clyde “Bo”, Courtney, Taylor, Estella, Alyssa, Devon, Kenedi and Raegan Akers, Hannah Latiolais and Layla Malcolm and husband Justin; and five great-grandchildren including Daniel, Brianna and Bella Akers, Ashtyn Spell and Rylynn Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his bride of 64 years, Patsy Delaune Akers; his parents, Clyde Sr. and Estelle Akers; and grandson, Baily Mount.
