Born in St. Martinville, Louisiana to her two parents, Harry and Irene Thibodeaux, she is one of nine children. Faye’s life was forever impacted by her formative years living in Louisiana among her relatives. Faye spent most of her adult life in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Faye is carried in the hearts of those whom she loved deeply and who loved her. She is survived by her children, John Robert (wed to Gina Freeman), Paul Joseph, Peter Matthew (wed to Krisha Arnold) and Mary Elizabeth. Her grandchildren Zoe Lynn Robichaux and Clara Elizabeth Freeman were a source of endless happiness for her. She was strongly shaped by her long-time friendship with Anne Estes.
