Flo was a resident in rehab for the last seven weeks. She spent much of her life being a devoted wife of 52 years, a mother to eight children, a grandmother to 17 grandchildren, a great-grandmother to 26 great-grandchildren and a wonderful friend.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, a neighborhood Rosary Group and Pokeno Group. She enjoyed spending her Sunday afternoons playing Dominoes and Scrabble with whoever was available. We even had a couple of the grand- and great-grandchildren join in on occasion.

She lived her life to the fullest by attending children and grandchildren’s sporting events and extra-curricular activities. She showed her devotion to her children by taking care of her grandchildren fulltime until they entered “Big School.” She became Gram to everyone who knew her.

Flo was a beautiful seamstress who altered school uniforms, made dance and cheer uniforms, formals, wedding dresses, costumes, and suits. Flo will be remembered for her genuine specialty cakes and her Cajun cooking that will be passed on to generations.

Pallbearers were Justin Esquivel, Nicholas Camel, Jordan Esquivel, Christopher Thibodeaux, Jacob Olivier, Jesse Thibodeaux, Bo Boudreaux, Grant Thibodeaux and Joshua Thibodeaux.

A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Thibodeaux family to Dr. Michael S. Alexander for the many years of care to her and her family; Donna and Connie Landry, Sister Laura Melancon; and the staff of AmedisysHome Health Care in Lafayette.
