Patsy Jean (Roesler) Breaux

Patsy Jean (Roesler) Breaux, 79, of St. Martinville, passed away on May 28, 2022. She was born on July 10, 1942, the daughter of Adolph and Olga Roesler.

Patsy worked in the banking industry most of her life. She had many passions outside of work, the most important being her family. She volunteered at the Sherriff’s Department, taught adults how to read, helped start the Epilepsy Association in Houston, and consulted families who needed to learn about their options with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

When she wasn’t working and volunteering she loved to quilt and sew. She also enjoyed teaching others how to quilt, most recently to one of her caregivers.

In her younger years, she loved to be out on the boat and water ski. Patsy loved to camp with her husband, listening to country music, and more often than not you’d probably see her enjoying some catfish! She was a devout Lutheran and cherished her home church, Advent Lutheran Church in Houston.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Bernard Breaux Sr.; and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Mabry and her husband Dewayne; son, Dennis Wayde Burchfield and his wife Tamara; step-children, Stacia Breaux and Bernard Breaux Jr.; grandchildren, Brandon Mabry, Bethany Mabry, Kylee Burchfield and Lauren Burchfield.

Visitation and services will all be on Saturday, July 18, 2022, at Advent Lutheran Church, 5820 Pinemont Dr., Houston, TX 77092. Visitation will start at 12:30 p.m. and her service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Family will meet Fairbanks Cemetery, 5500 Stonington St. Houston, TX at 4 p.m.
