Theresa ‘Maw-T’ Scoggin

Theresa ‘Maw-T’ Scoggin, 71, of Butte LaRose passed away on March 27, 2023. Born November 10, 1951 in Houston, Texas. 

She is proceeded in death by her husband James “Pop Jim” Scoggin, and her parents, Tony and Margarette Allegretti. 

She is survived by her children, Patrina Cranfill and husband Darryl, Tennille Harbour and husband James, Joseph Ybarra, and Stephanie Schexnayder; grandchildren, Heather Skelton and husband Casey, Branden Benton and wife Amanda, Grant Adams and wife Alyssa, Tommy Champagne, Brynan Hebert and girlfriend Hannah Benoit, Samantha Cranfill, Ali Harbour, Carice Robert, Olivia O’Brien and Catalina Ybarra; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Addison, Emerson, Bryson Skelton, Kennedy Benton, Khloe Mire and Maddie Shispkie; siblings, Christina Ward and husband Kenny, Annette Packard and husband Wilson, Larry Friemal and wife Lori; nieces, Courtney Hall and husband Shawn, and Trish Baker and husband Brian, nephews Robert “Bo” Plock, Luke Ward and Brice Baker; great niece Braeley Hall and great nephew Bryce Baker. As well as one of her many great friends, Marlene Bruce, who was at her side until the end.

She shared memories with and was loved by so many, opening her home, arms, and heart, allowing all to see a soul as bright as a sunny day. Whether having a drink or eating one of her home-cooked meals, she never turned anyone away. Life allowed her to be eventful until the end and had it been up to her, she’d be here to stay. Her spirit is upon us all, for an angel watching over us we have gained, death has only taken her away. 

Celebration of life to be determined at a later date. At that time donations will be accepted to help cover expenses.
