Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Service was held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Dayne Jean Thibodeaux, 30, who passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday.
Rev. Jay Miller officiated at the Memorial Service.
Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Geraldine Papillion, 76, who passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Cecilia on Saturday, March 13, 2021, from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A rosary was prayed at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Fr. Gregory Cormier officiated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
Loreauville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Lawrence Eugene “Shine” Dugas, 92, at 10 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating.
Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Iberia Parish Veteran’s Honor Guard performed a flag presentation.
A gathering of family and friends was held on Sunday, March 14, 2021, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Evangeline Funeral Home in New Iberia. The funeral home reopened from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
St. Martinville – Patrick Olivier, a devoted husband, father, brother and friend to many, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, March 6, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was 93.
Mr. Olivier was born June 18, 1927, on the family property in St. Martinville to the late Antoine Olivier and the late Maria Castille Olivier and was one of three children.
