Edwin Dumatrait Jr.

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Edwin “Eddie” Dumatrait Jr., 66, who passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Dumatrait; mother, Dorothy Dumatrait; sons, Eric, Chad and Manny Dumatrait; brothers, Bobby, Timmy, Mark and Marcel Dumatrait; and five grandchildren.
Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Beverly D. Albert

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Beverly D. Albert, 67, who passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Albert; sons, Gabe Cormier and Brian Albert; daughters, Mrs. Eddie (Lyndi) Langlinais, Jenny Albert and Mrs. Daniel (Dawn) Granger; mother, Rosa M. Devillier; brother, Richard Devillier; sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Linda) Guidroz and Mrs. Johnny (Nelda) Trosclair; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mildred ‘Toot’ R. Breaux

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Mildred “Toot” R. Breaux, 95, who passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Former Gov. Mike Foster

Franklin – Governor Murphy James “Mike” Foster Jr., a retired businessman and sugarcane farmer from St. Mary Parish, left this earth on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, surrounded by family and close friends.
Mike Foster became Louisiana’s 53rd governor after running for office as a little-known senator to fix things that were broken. He served Louisiana as its chief executive from 1996–2004.

Wilton ‘T-Babe’ James Sr.

St. Martinville – A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Wilton James Sr., 89, who peacefully departed this life and went on to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday. Reverend Cyriaque Sounou, SVD, will be the celebrant of the Mass.
