Obituaries

Theresa ‘Maw-T’ Scoggin, 71, of Butte LaRose passed away on March 27, 2023. Born November 10, 1951 in Houston, Texas. 

She is proceeded in death by her husband James “Pop Jim” Scoggin, and her parents, Tony and Margarette Allegretti. 

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held on March 24 at Pellerin Funeral Home for John Reed, 70, who died on March 19, 2023.

He is survived by his sons, Bruce and Christopher Reed; the mother of his children, Violet Reed; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Russell, Charles, Patrick and Benny Reed.

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Breaux Bridge - Funeral Services were held on March 24 at Bethlehem Baptist Church for John Allen Batiste, 73, who died on March 20, 2023. 

He is survived by his brothers, Maxie Jr., Rocky, Alfred and Joseph Batiste; and sisters, Stella Caddie, Dorothy Charles,  Mildred Batiste and Hilda Batiste. 

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
