Accepting applications for master gardeners

Breaux Bridge – The St. Martin/Iberia Parish Cooperative Extension Service is now accepting applications for the Master Gardener Class scheduled for September 2012.

The program is designed to recruit and train volunteers to help meet the educational needs of home gardeners and provide and enjoyable experience for volunteers.

The Master Gardener Program provides invaluable training and educational opportunities. Experienced and beginning gardeners seeking up to date horticultural information can advance their gardening expertise and gain self-satisfaction through their volunteer efforts.

The volunteer aspect of the Master Gardener Program allows individuals to dedicate their time and talents to enhance the quality of life for citizens of their community.

Anyone interested in the Master Gardener Program can obtain an application from the St. Martin Parish Cooperative Extension Service Office at 114 Courthouse Street.
