WEST MONROE – A West Monroe man was killed when he drove his motorcycle the wrong way onto an I-10 exit ramp, hitting an 18-wheeler head-on.

State Police said the accident happened at the Camp Road exit about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Christopher S. Biddle, 36, entered the interstate from the Camp Road exit traveling west in the wrong direction when he was struck head-on by a 1998 Kenworth Conventional 18-wheeler driven by 52-year-old Marquita Wolverton of Ashland, Ohio, who was traveling east on Interstate 20 in the right lane.

Alcohol use on the part of Biddle is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
