Exhibit attendants needed

The Acadian Memorial is gearing up for the opening of the Smithsonian Institute’s Traveling Exhibit Journey Stories.

If you enjoy meeting people, are dependable and have an interest in local and American history, this is a great opportunity for you to be a part of the Smithsonian.

We need volunteers to be exhibit attendants. Training will be provided at the Maison Duchamp on May 23 at 10 a.m. Volunteer as few or as many hours as possible.

Any amount of time will be greatly appreciated and should surely be memorable for you. Ages 17 and older please apply.

Attention teachers

The first event to precede the actual reception opening on May 28 will be a Sneak Preview Week for Students and Teachers. This “soft” opening will be available to all teachers and students and will take place May 24-27.

This will include field trips that must be pre scheduled with the Acadian Memorial. Please call 394-2258 to schedule a field trip for your class or school.
