The City of St. Martinville and St. Martin Parish are contributing $6,000 apiece for the $18,000 renovation job.

Mark Hebert put the only condition on the expenditure, albeit tongue-in-cheek.
“It’s needed and I’m voting for it,” Hebert said. “But I don’t want anyone here developing amnesia. Just remember this when Cecilia and Breaux Bridge need some funding.”
