Mrs. Menard was retired from the St. Martin Parish School Board where she worked as a Cafeteria Technician for 22 years. She was a member of the Woodmen of the World Society.
Marie had a zest for life, which she lived to the fullest; she enjoyed meeting new people, always enjoyed sharing a good joke - laughing with her friends and family, going dancing, as well as teaching people how to dance, and going to the casino. She was a wonderful cook and always looked forward to preparing meals for her family and friends to enjoy, no matter the occasion.
The greatest joy in her life was the company of her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchild; her love for them was boundless and unconditional. Her presence here will be sadly missed, but the memories shared with her will live forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she’s touched in her life.
Survivors include two sons, Francis Dale Menard and his wife, Maurita, and Steve John Menard and his wife, Donna, all of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Jean Menard Broussard and her husband, John, of Breaux Bridge; four grandchildren, Dax Menard and his wife, Kayla, Nicole Landry, Cody Menard, and Victoria Menard; and one great grandchild, Evan Dale Menard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Menard; her parents, Lezin and Arsene Trouard Theriot; three brothers, D. J. Theriot, Roy Theriot, and John Theriot; three sisters, Dora T. Barras, Octavia LeBlanc, and Rowena Broussard; and two grandchildren, Ashley Landry and Ty Menard.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Honorary pallbearers will be George Menard, Nolan Menard, Harold Menard, and James Camille.
