St. Martinville – Services will be conducted for Miss Generita Johnson, 60, at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Justin Arokiasamy officiating.

Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until time of services with the Rosary at 8 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church.

A native of St. Martinville, she passed away at Iberia General Hospital.

She was a member of the 3rd Degree KPC Ladies Auxiliary Court#54 and Notre Dame Usher Society.

Survivors include a son, Andre Johnson; five brothers, Murphy Johnson Jr., Wilfred Johnson (Eloise) of Baton Rouge, Alfred (Florence) Johnson, Melvin (Jeanette) Johnson of St. Martinville, and Prophet Nelton M. (Paula) Johnson of Oakland, Cal.; three sisters, Delores (Leroy) Landry of Alexandria, Laura Wiltz of Houston, Texas, and Bessie Brown of Texas City, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murphy Johnson Sr. and Rose Marie Hypolite Johnson.

Active pallbearers will be Melvin Johnson, Wilfred Johnson, Nelton Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Jermain James andChaz Freeman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Andre Johnson, Alfred Johnson, Murphy Johnson Jr., Delores Landry, Laura Wiltz and Bessie Brown.

The Golden Meadows Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
