Breaux Bridge – Two more Breaux Bridge football standouts have elected to join the LSU Tigers, giving verbal pledges to continue their careers at the Baton Rouge university.

Wide receiver Travin Dural (6-1, 175 pounds) and linebacker/athlete Lamar Louis (5-11, 210) announced their intentions earlier this month.

Louis picked LSU over offers from Florida, UL-Lafayette, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. Dural also had interest from Alabama and A&M.

Dural had 35 catches for 789 yards and nine touchdowns as a sophomore and ran 11 times for a 147 yards and a score. His junior numbers dipped a bit, as he caught 26 passes for 404 yards and four TDs, rushed six times for 67 yards and a score, and returned punts and kickoffs for a combined 515 yards and two TDs.

They will join BBHS senior defensive end Quentin Thomas (6-3, 276 pounds) at LSU. Thomas signed a national letter of intent with the Tigers back in February, despite sitting out his senior football season due to disciplinary action that barred him from participating in extra-curricular activities at BBHS.
