Breaux Bridge – Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel for Phyllis Doré Theriot, 59, who passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011, at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.

Rev. Doré conducted the funeral service. The reader was Shirley Babb, and Candy Rees delivered the Eulogy.

Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1.

Phyllis was known to be a hardworker, having worked for many years with Drs. Ernest and Marelle Yongue before going to work at the UL-Lafayette Medical Clinic as a Nurse Assistant II. In her free time she would often work at Bayou Boudin & Cracklins and Bayou Cabins.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend – a caregiver to anyone in need of her help. Phyllis was very close to her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and the many acquaintances she had met in her life.

Survivors include her son, Kyle David Theriot and his wife Jillian Marie Lindsey Theriot of Pearland, Texas; one daughter, Rachel Reneé Theriot of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Danny Dale Doré and his wife Dolores LaGrange Doré of St. Martinville, and Ricky Ames Doré and his wife Angie Guillot Doré of Lafayette; two sisters, Julie Ann Doré Angelle and her husband Tommy of Katy, Texas, and Ethel Lee Doré of Breaux Bridge; and five grandchildren, Gage Michael Boutin, Kelsea Rae Boutin, Jayda Reneé Theriot, Ian Michael Ryan Theriot and Amelie Lindsey Theriot.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “T-Ray” Theriot; her parents, Ames and Rena Guidry Doré; her father-in-law, Joseph Preston Theriot; and her brothers-in-law, Rodney Theriot and Harold Terrell.

Pallbearers wree Beau Doré, Garret Doré, Seth Doré, Danna Doré, Joel Doré and Danny Dale Doré.

Honorary pallbearers were Gage Boutin and Ian Theriot.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
