Lafayette – Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Delhomme Funeral Home for Joyce Lapoint Hebert who passed away at her home on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Joyce would have been 78 years old on June 21.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Hebert of 58 years; three sons, Philip and his wife Rachelle, Paul and his wife Suzanne, and Marc and his wife Elisabeth; five grandchildren whom she loved so dearly, Tiffany, Britney, Jillian, Georgia and Jack and her sister Gaynell Meche.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Olite and Edith Lapoint; her brother, Hillard Lapoint; and her sister, Gloria Gaspard.

Joyce was a native of Crowley and a graduate from St. Michael’s High School in Crowley. She married Ray in 1952 and moved to Lafayette in 1954. She was the bookkeeper for Sts. Leo-Seton Elementary School for over 25 years where she made many friends.
