Ville Platte Police Officers arrested a total of 71 people for the month of October, including eight felony arrests. Arrests included the following charges: second-degree kidnapping, attempted second-degree murder, armed robbery, resisting an officer, obstructing justice, possession of crack, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, diligent of a juvenile, smoking in the police department, DWI (second offense), failure to yield, driving center of road, criminal mischief, simple battery, threatening an officer, drug paraphernalia, careless operation with an accident, DWI (first offense), public intoxication, criminal damage to property, open container, aggravated assault, expired insurance, telephone harassment, remaining after being forbidden, no proof of insurance, flight from an officer, misrepresentation during booking, battery on a juvenile, possession of formaldehyde, simple possession of marijuana, driving under suspension, disturbing the peace, no driver’s license, theft, speeding, trespassing, unauthorized entry, possession of PCP, possession of ecstasy, aggravated rape and possession of a firearm.
