BB, Cecilia girls fall in Q-finals

KENNER – The volleyball playoff road ended in the quarterfinal round for both the Breaux Bridge and Cecilia girls teams.<!--break-->

	Breaux Bridge competes at the Division II-Class 4A level while Cecilia is in the Division III-Class 3A tier.

	Both schools had earned byes in the bidistrict round and went on to secure regional victories, earning berths in the state tournament that kicked off here last Thursday.

	Breaux Bridge’s Lady Tigers advanced with a 3-2 win over Morgan City in the regionals while Cecilia topped Ben Franklin.

	Breaux Bridge faced Cabrini in the quarterfial round of the tournament and was eliminated with a loss in four games (25-19, 23-25, 18-25, 21-25).

	Cecilia lost to Ursuline Academy in its quarterfinal effort. Ursuline went on to claim the Division III state championship.

	Breaux Bridge, which finished second in its district competition, ended the year with a 21-9 record. The district champion Lady Bulldogs finished the year with a 25-9 worksheet.
