The badly-deteriorated 6.8-mile stretch of LA 96/Terrace Hwy between St. Martinville and Broussard is in store for a much-needed resurfacing. The project calls for milling, patching, overlay and drainage improverments on the heavily travelled road. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said Monday that the low bid of $4,747,791 was submitted by Glenn Lege Co. of Youngsville. Work could begin in three to four months and should be completed by the spring of 2021.(Karl Jeter)
