St. Martin Parish Registrar of Voters Patricia T. Guidry reports a rather turn out of early voters for municipal races in St. Martinville and a bond proposal for Hospital Service District No. 2 (St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge).

These offices will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, March 17.
St. Martinville voters will be electing a mayor and four members of the city council.

•District 1 – Incumbent Michael “Mike” Fuselier and Dean J. Resweber.
•District 2 – Incumbent Craig Prosper and Lance Laviolette.
•District 3 – Incumbent Dennis Paul Williams and Mourice Smith.
•District 4 – Janise Anthony, Juma A. Johnson and Nary Smith Sr. Incumbent Debra Landry is not seeking re-election.
Hospital Bonds
The bond proposal for Hospital Service District No. 2, which encompasses Breaux Bridge and the surrounding area, seeks voter approval of a $12,565,000 bond issue that would be retired over a 20-year period.
The proceeds would be used to purchase an additional 44 acres of property adjacent to the current St. Martin Hospital site and fund renovation and expansion of the hospital facilities.
The bonds would be serviced through an 8.65 property millage and the dedication of $250,000 per year from hospital lease revenues.
