Jonee Gregory Ledet

Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 11 a.m.at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge. Jonee was born to Joe Louis Gregory I and Ezola Mae Green Broussard on March 14, 1969, in St. Martinville, Louisiana. She was immersed in the Christian Community from an early age, being baptized by her most influential mentor, whom loved her dearly, the late Reverend Livingston Alex, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and later under the leadership of Reverend Leroy Banks. She moved her membership to the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Branch, Louisiana under the leadership of her brother Reverend Craig G. Gregory, and in her own words he is: “The Preacher of Preachers,” where she faithfully served as a member of the Praise and Worship Team and any other offerings of Kingdom Building until her health progressively began to fail her and the travels unbearable but she attended Church Services locally at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Brandon Nora Ministries and St. Louis Catholic Church. She courageously fought her physical ailments with Strong Faith in the Word, Will and Way of God and found lifelong support in knowing that her God would never put more on her than she could bear. She graduated from Breaux Bridge Senior High School in 1987, where she enjoyed being a member of the Volleyball and Softball Teams and was the recipient of All District and All State Honors that she often boasted about while in her reminiscent moods. Jonee was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend and God sent Angel of genuine care, comfort and concern, Eric Ledet Sr., on February 18, 2012. They shared the burdens and blessings of raising their blended family of nine children with patience, discipline and humility. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty, bounty and blessings of God’s Word, leading them to the full knowledge that God’s Grace and Mercy is sufficient in all things. Jonee was an inspirational and transformational Servant-Leader at heart. She was kind and forthright but soft spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She is dearly missed by all of those that she encountered and who all celebrate the fact that she is at peace and resting in the care of her risen Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Her life was lengthened by the unselfish gifting from the Cole Family, who she kept in contact with and welcomed into her life wholeheartedly as family. Jonee and her Donor Jeremy Cole, both now have heartbeats that are eternal in the Heavens.
