Diana Allemand Duhon

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Diana Allemand Duhon, 63, who passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021.

Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday.

Brother Rob Burdeaux officiated at the funeral service.

Interment will follow at a later date.

Diana was born November 7, 1958, in Lafayette. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished her time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her life and she made sure she was there for every event in their lives. Diana was a caregiver by trade and was exceptional at her job.

As a past time, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends, dancing, or “jitter-bugging” like she said, doing yard work, and playing games on her iPad. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her daughters, Mandy Pommier and Candice Calais Tabor (Eric); son, Larry “L.J.” Pommier Jr.;  brother, Paul Allemand (Betty); sisters, Thelma Hollier (Larry), Elaine Thevenet (Leroy), Janet Allemand Rodriguez, Betty Richard (Grant) and Louella Kennison (Kurt); step brothers, Walter Duhon (Joetta) and Allen J. Duhon; grandchildren, Rylei Pommier, Kynlei Pommier, Acelyn Pommier, Asher Tabor, Jasper Tabor, Joelle Tabor, Mikie Pommier and Charlie Pommier; and her goddaughter, Zoye Angelle. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Allemand; mother, Amy Cormier Duhon; stepfather, Adam “Buster” Duhon; granddaughter, Lillie Pommier; sisters, Rena Mae Allemand, Iva Johnson and Linda A. Guidry; brother, Leroy Allemand; godchild, David “Bubba” Rogers; and nephews, Kenneth Benoit and Chad Bourque.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
