A stiff north wind sent steam and smoke swirling around the sprawling LaSuCa sugarcane mill at St. John when this picture was taken Monday morning. Mike Comb, LaSuCa general manager, says the mill is expecting to wrap up the 2021 harvest season on Sunday, Jan. 16 after 122 days of round the clock operations.
