Longview, Texas – Joseph O. Bienvenu, 95, passed away on June 30, 2018.
A native of St. Martiville, he served in World War II as an ensign aboard the U.S. LST 544 in the Pacific area.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Talley, Camille Bienvenu, Jeanne Dugas and Mildred Maraist.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; his daughters, Mrs. Davis (Joellyn) Custead, Mrs. Vincent (Karen) Dulweber and Jean Mosby; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
Services were held on Saturday, July 7, at St. Mary’s Church. Interment followed at Rosewood Park.
