Aimee was born on October 19, 1942, in Breaux Bridge. Married to her beloved husband Leland Blanchard for 54 beautiful years, their bond was a testament to enduring love, and her heart held a profound love for him even after his passing.

Aimee was known for her indomitable spirit and her infectious laugh, which could light up the gloomiest of days. She had a knack for finding joy in the little things; her days were often filled with crossword puzzles that would challenge her sharp mind and game shows that brought her thrills. She loved to read, with her imagination soaring alongside the stories she cherished. And in the kitchen, Aimee was a masterful cook, always ready to whip up delightful meals that brought her family together around the table.

Aimee’s love for her family knew no bounds. Spending time with her great-grandchildren filled her with unparalleled joy; they were the apples of her eye and brought such laughter and energy into her life. Her Cashway family was another significant part of her world. She formed genuine connections that extended beyond the workplace, embracing a sense of belonging and community that will be remembered fondly.

Her kind soul and nurturing nature created lasting memories for those lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but the love she bestowed upon her family and friends will forever remain in their hearts.

She is survived by her sons, Luke Blanchard (Adeline) and Dean Blanchard (Pam); brother, Ove Frederick (Marla); sister, Verna Boutte (Raymond); grandchildren, Mandy Landry (Lambert), Ashley Hebert (Justin) and Macie LeBlanc (Cody); great-grandchildren, Blake Landry, Drake Landry, Dylan Landry, Lake Landry, Gracie Hebert, Gunnar Hebert, Gabi Hebert, Cayden LeBlanc, Ava LeBlanc and Conner LeBlanc.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leland Blanchard; parents, Ovey and Maria Champagne Frederick; and her sisters, Lilly Mae Thibodeaux, Leona Guidry, Mazel Hebert, Agnes Thibodeaux, and Lucille Allemond.

Pallbearers were Blake Landry, Drake Landry, Dylan Landry, Lake Landry, Gunnar Hebert, Cayden LeBlanc and Conner LeBlanc.

Honorary pallbearers were Lambert Landry, Justin Hebert and Cody LeBlanc.

The family would like to extend out a special thanks to her caregivers Pam and Adeline Blanchard and also to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
