Mamou – It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Jay Randall passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024 at his home in Mamou, LA surrounded by family and friends.
Jay has chosen to donate his body to science. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Jay was a devoted husband who loved his family and friends. Jay also loved his music and watching his favorite football teams. He played and wrote music for about 54 years. After his retirement Jay continued to play once a year at the Swamp Pop Festival with his friends.
Jay worked installing floors for more than 40 years and while doing this he met the love of his life, Leeann Guillory Noel. The two were happily married for 21 years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Leeann Guillory Noel; two daughters, Tammy Noel Dupuis & husband (Peter Derousselle) of Breaux Bridge and Shelia Ann Hauser & husband (Fred) of Lafayette. Three grandchildren, Jacob James Dupuis, Dane Jude Noel and Sophia Benefield. Four great-grandchildren Alexis Dupuis, Brihynn Storm Noel, Stephin Benefield; one step-son Donnie Saucier & wife (Michelle); two step-daughters, Angie Marie & husband (Kenny Deshotel), Kristi Lynn & husband Jerry Guidry; one step son-in-law Lauteral Manuel. Twelve step grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchild; one brother Javis Noel & wife (Elaine) from Church Point and one godchild, Patricia Usie Courville.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elie Noel and Hilda Landry Noel Babineaux, one grandson Brandon Benefield, one brother Jimmy Noel and one step-daughter Malena Manuel.
