Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service was held at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Leota LeBlanc Lester, 94, who passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at her residence.
A visitation took place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Friday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m.
Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated at the Funeral Service. Readers were Kaliyah, Buddy and Curtis Lester.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Leota was born January 16, 1930. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, as well as a dear friend to many. Leota loved to cook and bake. She made cakes for anyone and everyone that she wanted to show appreciation to. Whether a family member, friend, neighbor, doctor, mechanic or teacher, you would likely receive a cake from her. Leota will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, David Lester (Carla) and Glenn Lester; daughter-in-law, Ruby Lester; grandchildren, Bo Lester (Jayde), Jamie Hebert (Brooke) and Megan Hilts; great-grandchildren, Curtis Lester, Buddy Lester, Kenzie Lester, Aaron Lester, Kaliyah Lester, Lauren Capdepon, Caleb Hebert, Grayson Hebert and Willi Lester.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lester, Jr.; son, Charles Lester; grandson, David “Buddy” Lester, Jr.; parents, Valsin LeBlanc and Honorine Melancon LeBlanc; and siblings, Holden, Willis, Stanley, Bernard, Noah, Eula Mae, Luda and Fabiola.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
