Louise Blanchard Bergeron

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 3 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2025, at St. Rita Catholic Church honoring the life of Louise Blanchard Bergeron, 80, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at The Carpenter House.

A visitation took place at Dion Hall on Monday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A rosary was recited by Deacon Harris Bergeron at 1 p.m. on Monday.

Rev. Randy Courville officiated at the Funeral Mass. 

Burial followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

Louise was an active and devoted member of St. Rita Catholic Church, where she found a strong community of faith and fellowship. She cherished spending quality time with her family, enjoying lively games of Bouree, and often found joy in visiting the casino. She also loved accompanying Clevens on his swamp tours, where she enjoyed meeting new people and sharing stories with fellow adventurers.

She is survived by her husband, Clevens Bergeron; children, Bobby (Brenda) Bergeron, Jude (Amy) Bergeron and Alice Bergeron Tate; siblings, Roy (Annie) Blanchard, Wilmer “Jun” Blanchard, Carrol Russo, and Loula (Terry) Dunlap; grandchildren, Bobby “B.J.” Bergeron, Jr., Brendon Bergeron, Krislyn Blanchard, Byron Tate and Carson Tate; great grandchildren; Anna, Avery, Matthew, Kailee, Bailey and Marley.

She is preceded in death by her son, Byron Bergeron; parents, Wilmer and Mae Blanchard; sisters, Sonja Blanchard, Kathy Patin, Beulah Punch, Ida Trautman and Della Dupuis; brother Camille Blanchard.

Pallbearers were Bobby Bergeron, Jude Bergeron, Byron Tate, Carson Tate, Brendon Bergeron, Jimmy Bergeron, Glynn Trautman and Harold Bergeron.
