Cecilia - A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Jannes Landry Courville, 61, who passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Calcutta House (Hospice of Acadiana).
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
A rosary will be prayed at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Deacon Perry Guidry will officiate at the funeral service.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Jannes was born on September 8, 1963, in Breaux Bridge. Jannes was a woman of many interests and passions. She found joy in the delicate world of diamond art, and she also had a knack for puzzles.
However, her greatest delight came from spending time with her cherished grandchildren. The twinkle in her eye and the laughter that filled her home were testaments to a love that knew no bounds. She captured precious memories through her lens, snapping photographs that told stories of joy and connection.
Jannes also cherished friendships, taking time to enjoy leisurely coffee dates where stories were shared, laughter blossomed, and memories were made.
She is survived by her daughter, Brittni Courville (Damian); grandchildren, Zoey Boutte and Carson Boutte; brothers, Kenneth Landry (Linda), Kirby Landry (Loraine), Harvey Landry (Tammy) and Horace Landry (Monica); and her sisters, Glinda Meche and Darla Landry.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Sanders; parents, Joseph Nolan and Marie Alvina Courville Landry; and a brother, Roger Landry.
Pallbearers will be Horace Landry, Kenneth Landry, Harvey Landry, Kirby Landry, Damian Key, and Brandon Trosclair.
