- It was a relatively short meeting of the Breaux Bridge City Council as they convened for the February meeting.

The meeting lasted 55 minutes with 26 minutes devoted to an executive (secret) session to discuss a pending legal matter.

One agenda item, a report from city planning director Jeremy Broussard, was deleted as Broussard was unavailable to attend the

meeting.

Calais’ financial report stated the city collected $686,875 in January 2025, which is $15,582 more than January 2024.

“According to budget, we are exactly where we should be,” Calais said. “At least we are not short like I thought that we would be.”

The mayor also added that some drainage projects that were slated to be started have begun.
