– The St. Martin Parish Council honored the late Rev. Craig Gregory, who served on the St. Martin Parish Council from 2012-16.

Gregory, who died on Feb. 7, was a pastor for 27 years. Parish President Pete Delcambre read a proclamation naming Feb. 18 as Rev. Craig Gregory Day in the parish and presented the proclamation from the council to his family, many of whom attended the meeting.

Delcambre also announced that Parish Public Works Director Wes Dupuis is leaving his post in the near future.

“I can say with no reservation that he’s become a very good friend of mine,” Delcambre said.

“If we needed eight hours to do something, he gave 10. If we needed

10, he gave 12. If we needed 12, he gave 14. That’s Wes He’s going to be missed.”

Dupuis said he’s had several proud moments in his life — getting married, his military deployment overseas, and the birth of his children. He said he’s looking forward to seeing the council members again in the future.
