St. Martinville – Parish President Pete Delcambre was the guest speaker for the Feb. 24 meeting of Beta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Program leader for the evening was Shirley Fuselier.
President Delcambre presented a program on How Well Do You Know Your Parish? Delcambre explained to members his transition during his first year of office was challenging, but he is determined to make the parish a better place for residents and visitors.
He has worked tirelessly in repairing roads and improving the water systems and drainage and the building of a new jail for the parish. Delcambre reported his role as Parish President goes beyond politics and he is all about dedicating himself to helping the parish he represents.
Members thanked Delcambre for his dedication to the parish.
President Lynnie Bienvenu conducted the business meeting at the conclusion of the program and called on committee chair to report on coming activities.
Program chair Bobbie Theriot announced the next meeting will be held on March 10. A program on Art in Our Houses: Uses of Art Elements in the Home will be presented by guest speaker Claire Berard.
Adopted Family chair Shirley Fuselier announced the chapter continues to support a local family monthly.
Shirley Fuselier was the recipient of the Courtesy gift presented by chair Arleen Oubre.
