Millions of pounds of crawfish will be consumed in Louisiana this season, but one lucky crustacean will be spared a steamy, spicy fate. The 9th Annual Pardoning of the Crawfish is back for the third consecutive year in St. Martin Parish. This year’s event will take place at Pat’s Waterfront Restaurant in Henderson at 9 a.m. on March 11.
Started in 2017 by Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and held on the first Tuesday following Mardi Gras, this annual pardoning celebrates crawfish season in Louisiana.
