The Krewe de Pont brought the sparkle and flair of the ‘70s to life at their 5th Annual Lundi Gras Ball on March 3, held at the vibrant Café Sydnie Mae. With a dazzling theme of “Studio 54: Glitz, Glam, and Disco,” the event was a showstopper, featuring a night filled with high fashion, funky beats, and unforgettable moments.

The 2025 Royalty was officially crowned during the evening’s festivities, with King Firmin Breaux V, Michael Sonnier, and Queen Anna Belle Hoffman, Taylor Guidry Angelle, received their regal honors.

In a true display of tradition and celebration, the royal duo brought even more glamour to the celebration, as the Krewe de Pont and its attendees took part in a lively Second Line dance, making their way to the bridge for their annual toast to Lundi Gras and their rich French heritage. The spirited procession was a true highlight, honoring the unique culture and community spirit that defines the Krewe.

In addition to the lively atmosphere and royal revelry, the Krewe de Pont used the occasion to raise $1,275 for a great cause. The funds will support local charities, including Becky’s Healing House, the St. Bernard/St. Francis Food Pantry, and the Breaux Bridge Veterans Post #4215, ensuring the community feels the love long after the music fades.

This year’s ball was a perfect blend of nostalgia, philanthropy, and Mardi Gras magic, with a disco ball shining brightly over a groovy celebration that was enjoyed by all.
