Cecilia beat Breaux Bridge 19-1 in four innings to open District 5-4A softball action on Monday, March 3.
Cecilia did not provide stats for its players. The Lady Bulldogs led 10-0 after one inning and added four runs in the third. BBHS scored its lone run in the third inning.
Cecilia pounded out 24 hits to Breaux Bridge’s six hits.
Gracie Hebert went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI to lead the Lady Tigers. Rylie Boudreaux, Calie Chiasson, Nyah Albert and Corrine Thibodeaux each had a hit.
St. Martinville dropped its District 5-3A opener at Erath, 15-0 in three innings on Thursday.
SMSH drew two walks and did not get a hit. The Lady Tigers committed nine errors and allowed nine hits.
Erath led 10-0 after one inning.
