Breaux Bridge walked off an 11-10 win over Loreauville on March 3 when an error plated a run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
The Tigers trailed Loreauville 4-0 midway through the third inning but scored two in the third and one in the fourth to pull to within 4-3.
Loreauville added two runs in the top of the fifth to extend its lead to 6-3 before Breaux Bridge surged ahead with four runs in the fourth.
LHS tied the game up with a run in the seventh, then went ahead with three runs in the top of the eighth. BBHS plated four runs in the bottom of the eight to win.
In the final frame, Kamen Babin was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning. Benjamin Melancon singled to center field and Christian Camacho grounded out to first base, plating Babin and courtesy runner Kaleb Theriot, who came in on an error to pull BBHS to within 10-9.
Peyton Gonzalez and Kyson Rebert then drew back-to-back walks and Sam Armentor reached on an error on a ground ball to get the winning run in.
Bryce Melancon led Breaux Bridge with two hits, and scored one of the team’s 11 runs. Rebert went 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Caynon Ardoin doubled and scored a run, Cullen Laseter also doubled and drove in a run.
Camacho drove in two runs and Armentor also drove in a run.
Melancon pitched the final three innings for the win, allowing five runs on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts.
Ardoin started and allowed five runs on eight hits with four walks and two strikeouts over five innings.
BBHS fell to Eunice 7-2 on Thursday and to Crowley 8-4 on Friday in Ascension Episcopal’s tournament.
Against Eunice, Kyson Rebert went 1-for-2 with a triple and a run, Sam Armentor went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Benjamin Ellender doubled, Cullen Laseter went 2-for-3 and Bryce Melancon had an RBI.
Cullen Laseter took the loss, allowing six hits and four runs with three walks and two strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.
Peyton Gonzalez had a double and an RBI, Evan Theriot doubled and scored a run and Sam Armentor and Charlie Frederick each had a hit and an RBI against Crowley. Caynon Ardoin and Cullen Laseter also had hits.
Bryce Melancon pitched five innings in taking the loss, allowing three hits and four runs, two unearned, with four walks and seven strikeouts.

Renaissance Charter 7-6 on March 3 before playing three games in the AES tournament.
The Bulldogs beat Crowley 9-6 on Thursday and lost to Ascension Episcopal 13-4 later in the day, then fell to West Ouachita 12-4 on Friday.
St. Martinville was shut out by Welsh 8-0 on Thursday with Connor Rome and Branson Chiasson getting the Tigers’ lone hits.
SMSH lost to Westminster Christian in Opelousas on Friday, 12-5.
The Tigers led 5-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning but gave up four runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and five in the sixth and did not score again after the fourth inning.
Each team committed seven errors in the game and WCA outhit the Tigers 5-4.
Dixon Aymond had a double and an RBI and Kamryn LeBlanc singled and drove in two runs for SMSH. Connor Rome and Branson Chiasson each added a hit and a run.
Kaden Gary allowed six unearned runs on three hits with four walks and five strikeouts over four innings to take the loss.
