The St. Martinville Tigers brought home the 1975 State AAA basketball championship with a 51-42 Top 24 victory over the Peabody Warhorses in Alexandria in March 1975. It was the first state cage title for a St. Martin Parish team and only the second state athletic title for St. Martinville in history.
