Beta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held their March 10th meeting at the home of hostess and program leader Arleen Oubre. Guest speaker Claire Berard presented a program on Art in the Home: Uses of Art Elements in the Home.
Berard shared with members her passion for Diamond Art. Members learned it is similar to cross stitch and painting by number. It is easy to learn and incredibly rewarding, very relaxing and enjoyable for all ages and skill levels and has been scientifically proven to improve health.
Berard explained it is as easy as affixing vibrant colored resin rhinestones to a selfadhesive canvas with a diamond art kit. The canvas is printed with a design as well as symbols to let you know exactly which color to place in each spot.
Members were in awe as Berard explained the process in completing a canvas She further explained to trust the process. You will be amazed at how the project will look when completed.
Members enjoyed the presentation and were in awe of the marvelous art presented.
President Lynnie Bienvenu conducted the business meeting following the presentation. Committee chair reported on activities to be held in the coming months.
Program chair Bobbie Theriot announced the next meeting will be held on March 24th. St. Martinville native Liz Mire will present a program on Textiles: Practical and Decorative Uses in the Home.
Adopted Family chair Shirley Fuselier announced the chapter continues to support a local family monthly.
Shirley Fuselier was the recipient of the floating basket presented by Louella Champagne.
