Breaux Bridge man dead following hit & run
Breaux Bridge – The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about an early morning hitand- run that left an 86-year-old Breaux Bridge man dead.
Sheriff Becket Breaux said in a statement that at about 6:54 a.m. on Monday, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in reference to a man who was reported to be lying on the side of the road in the 2600 block of Doyle Melancon Road in Breaux Bridge.
Deputies discovered Charles LeBlanc, 86, of Breaux Bridge, dead as a result of a hitand- run.
The investigation remains ongoing, and deputies are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect and/or suspect vehicle to please contact the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office by calling 337-394-3071.
