Butte La Rose – A 61-year-old Breaux Bridge man was arrested
Friday by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of a 45-year-old Breaux Bridge man in Butte La Rose.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at about 11:48 p.m. on Thursday evening concerning a shooting at a business in the 2200 block of Atchafalaya River Highway in Butte La Rose and discovered the body of Jesse Cormier, 45.
Following his arrest, Baudoin was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the a charge of LA R.S. 14:31-Manslaughter (1 count). At the time of this release, no bond had been set, Sheriff Becket Breaux reported.
