Tigers split pair of games with Cecilia to finish 7-1 in league
The Breaux Bridge Tigers captured the District 5-4A baseball championship after splitting a pair of games with Cecilia this past week.
The baseball regular season ends on Monday, with playoff pairings announced on Tuesday. The first round of the playoffs will be held April 16-19.

On Friday, the Tigers exploded for 10 runs in the sixth inning to rally from a 4-3 deficit. Five walks and three hit batters contributed to the 10-run inning, which included a double by Peyton Gonzalez, RBI singles by Bryce Melancon and Cullen Laseter and an RBI sacrifice fly by Gonzalez.
