Motorists who travel the pitted stretch of LA 31/Main Hwy between Parks and Ruth may soon see some relief as work on the long delayed overlay project is expected to resume in the next week or so, weather permitting. Bill Oliver, DOTD’s Lafayette district administrator, said a contract dispute relating to problems with the asphalt initially used in the overlay and the design of the project, are being resolved.(Mary Terry)
