Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, Nov. 19, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for James Earlis Doucet, 84, who passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
James honorably served his country during the Korean War as a nurse.
He is survived by his companion, Margaret Duplechien; son, Craige Doucet; daughter, Sheryl Boudreaux; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Cole; sisters, Gary M. Biri and Ellen Quebedeaux.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
