Arnaudville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Shirley Marie Thomas, 61, who passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019.
Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.
She is survived by her spouse, Robert Thomas; son, Xavier W. Major Jr.; daughters, Natashia and Jeanitta L. Major, and Mrs. Anthony (Af-Rica) Brown; brothers, Jerry, John and Joseph Reed, and Charlie Riggs; sisters, Mrs. Sylvester (Cheryl) Tollivier, Mrs. Jimmy (Clara) Lastrapes, Odelia and Carolyn Riggs, Tina and Monica Stein, Mrs. Johnny (Mary) Charles, Barbara Reed, Shirley Johnson and Mrs. CuaCua (Peanut) Sam; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, David; brothers, Norman Major and Lawrence and Cleveland Reed.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
