Henderson - A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson for Velma B. Hardy, 87, who passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 7 a.m. until time of funeral service.
A rosary was recited on Monday.
Deacon Randy Courville officiated at the Funeral Service.
Interment followed at St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in Henderson.
Velma was born in Arnaudville, to the late Clemille and Cecile Miller Bergeron. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Velma will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Hardy, Russell Hardy, and John Phillip Hardy; daughters, Linda Guilbeau and Cynthia Hardy; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Lester Bergeron, Deacon Harris Bergeron, Jimmy Bergeron, Harold Bergeron, Cleve Bergeron, and CJ Bergeron; and her sisters, Ida Mae Goulas, and Yola Courville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “T-Fra” Hardy, Sr.; parents, Clemille and Cecile Miller Bergeron; son, Thomas Hardy, Jr.; and her grandson-in-law, Aaron Blake Calais.
Pallbearers were Guy Hardy, Travis Hardy, Jeremy Guilbeau, Braylen Benoit, Rylan Calais, and Casting Hardy.
Honorary Pallbearers were Talen Benoit, Blake Calais, and Carlyn Hardy.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson, was in charge of arrangements.
