St. Martinville – A Funeral Ceremony was held on Monday, April 30, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Genevieve Olivier Melancon, 83, who passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
She is survived by her sons, Jules, Ricky and Larry J. Melancon; daughters, Mrs. Randy (Melba) Decoux, Mrs. Leland (Geraldine) Guidry and Mrs. Chico (Florine) Izquierdo; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice P. Melancon; and sisters, Alma Guidry and Laura Benoit.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
