Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, Nov. 11, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Camille A. Blanchard, 88, who passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
Blanchard served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Campaign.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillian Ann Theriot Blanchard; sons, Norman, Neal and Leland Blanchard; daughters, Geralyn McNeese and Janice Pickard; brothers, Roy and Wilmer Blanchard Jr.; sisters, Mrs. Newton (Della) Dupuis, Mrs. Gerald (Beulah) Punch, Carol Russo, Mrs. Glynn (Louise) Bergeron, Mrs. Glynn (Ida) Trautman and Mrs. Terry (Loula) Dunlap; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mavis Blanchard; and sisters, Katrina Patin and Sonja Blanchard.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
